Valentine’s Day with Kids + Printables

Our Valentine's Week so far

So far we’ve had plenty of Valentine’s Day fun.

Last week we attended a cute little Tot Time in our area where there was an open play full of toys and costumes as well as a little crafting area. My kids loved the simple craft of using stamps and putting foam stickers on paper. We had a lovely and calm morning.

Over the weekend we spent quality time as a family. My husband captured some great moments on our camera of me baking with the kids. We made some yummy heart cookies.

I had my son help me make the batter and roll out the dough (and spread flour EVERYWHERE) while my husband “rolled” our daughter on the counter as if she were dough. And then I had both kiddos participate in the cookie decorating. They loved it!

My daughter was slowly adding sprinkle by sprinkle onto her cookie and while I was decorating one on my own I caught my son dipping his licked fingers directly into the sprinkles container and giggling.

On Monday we met with a group of friends for a really cool messy playdate at the park. The kids got to play with some homemade playdough and heart-shaped cookie cutters. Then they got to paint on a long roll of craft paper. And then they played with buckets of red-colored water with flower petals and poutpourri which they filled into empty bottles using measuring cups, strainers, and funnels. They had an absolute blast!!

On Valentine’s Day we have another group playdate with some yummy food and activities planned. We will be handing out Valentine’s Day Cards to our little friends as well.

And at night I’m making pizza with the kids and having a romantic/family night in 🙂

What are your plans?

What activities have you and the kids been enjoying? Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? What are your plans with your family or partner for the celebration of love?

Printables

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I decided to make something fun for the kids. I hope you and your kids enjoy this free download.

It includes a Connect the Dots Valentine Bear, a Find the Differences Heart Balloons Bouqet, and a Bee Mine Color By Number section.

I also made a last-minute heart message handout for the kids to give their friends and loved ones.

Love the adorable photos! I love Valentine’s Day celebrations with my kiddos – today we built little “love robots” with stickers from the dollar store, frosted and added sprinkles to sugar cookies and finished up our Valentines for the class tomorrow. Tomorrow night, actual Valentine’s Day, my husband and I… Read more »
