My Review

I have two sets of both of these mats in these exact colors in my kids’ rooms and I love them. We have hard floors at our house so we needed something thick and solid for protection. My kids are now toddlers and I still find them entirely useful, in fact I’m not sure how old they’ll be when I do decide to change them because we like them so much and they add to the decor.

Our kids’ bedrooms are pretty spacious so we got two sets in each room to cover the majority of the floor space and not have to worry about any floor related injuries. What’s great about them is that they can be assembled in many shapes, for example, in a rectangle, square, or even wider in some areas than others. As my kids grow up and I rearrange the things in their rooms, I tend to reassemble the floor tiles accordingly. For example, when we upgraded our 2 year old’s crib to a crib rail, we reassembled the tiles to have a section of coverage just under the bed in case he fell out. I also moved all of them from one room into my living room once for a party and it was great! And since they come in different colors and shapes there are many ways of assembling patterns.

The kids occasionally try to remove the connectors or some of the edge pieces but they’re not as easy to take apart or as flimsy as some others I’ve seen. They are fairly easy to clean with just wiping them down. Some people even wash them in the bathtub or put them for a quick rinse cycle in the washing machine, which I recently tried and it worked pretty well, with a little bending of some pieces but I was able to easily bend back.
