Favorite Tools for Feeding Babies & Toddlers

I find that sometimes having the right tools makes a huge difference in the way we do things.Kids are a huge market of products, but some of those products are amazing, some are decent, and some are complete garbage. So make sure you're checking ratings and reviews before buying anything! This is a basic list I've compiled of some of my favorite products and tools for feeding our children within the Baby and Toddler stages.Side Tip: Quality is always better than Quantity. You will not be using these things forever so you don't want them taking up all the space in…

Managing Sensitive Baby Skin

My daughter has always had that baby soft skin. To this day, at a year and a half, she still does. She's got that soft and fair skin that can easily be irritated. When she was a few months old she started developing some rash-like patches around her chest, arms and back of her thighs and suspected a food allergy or Eczema. Turns out she just has fair and sensitive skin, dodged a bullet! However, I do take similar precautions and use soaps and lotions meant for Eczema as well. Disclosure: I have included some affiliate links throughout this post.…

Baby & Toddler Water Gear

It's Summertime, which means most of us are trying to survive this heat by spending time by the pool or water. Here are some Baby and Toddler Essentials for pool and water activities. Swimwear You can find baby & toddler sizes for swimwear anywhere you buy children's clothing, however I personally prefer ones with more coverage so I opt for rash guards. My daughter has very white and sensitive skin so her first bathing suit covered from her neck to her ankles. You can still find these, with our without hoods, for toddlers and young children but they also sell…

My Daughter’s Silly Baby Hair

At a year and a half old my daughter's hair has been growing from the back of her cowlick at her crown all the way to her eyes, making it a little difficult to manage. If you're not familiar with a cowlick, its like a hurricane swirl that directs hair in different directions, it's a chunk of hair that has a life of its own. They are usually on the crown of one's scalp, although sometimes on the forehead or back of the neck. They cannot be removed, only somewhat managed, although children's cowlicks are said to mature on their…

Homemade Baby Food Hacks

Baby stores will try to sell you mini appliances for steaming, pureeing, and storing homemade baby food. If you have a blender or food processor you can steam on the stove or microwave and puree them without buying new appliances that will take up space and become useless after a few months. And better yet, if you take the extra time to do several different kinds at a time you can be set for weeks or months at a time by freezing. Blenders and ice cubes will soon become your best friend!I figured out this trick with a little Pinterest research a little…

Toddler Screen/TV Time

Hi, I'm Paula. I'm a stay at home mom of two children and I abuse screen time. If you do too, welcome to Screen Time's Anonymous! * This post includes Affiliate Links. Mom's Addiction to Toddler Screen Time For me, the addiction started when my second child was born. I started putting the TV on for my 1 year old to keep him distracted so that I could keep an eye on him while I nursed the baby. Since then I've put it for him when he starts getting too grumpy or jealous, while I cook or clean, or when his sister is…

Mom Groups

When you're a stay at home parent with a child (or children) you start to get lonely even though you're not physically alone at all. I'm going to be totally honest and tell you that I've fallen into depression a couple of times because I was living in a cocoon. Home Alone And Miserable I was helping out part-time with the family business, just shadowing and learning the ropes, when I got pregnant with our first child. The "morning" sickness hit me real hard, I was throwing up all day and worried I wasn't keeping anything inside for months. I…
